Magic Lantern Montessori (MLM) Preschool is located in the Seattle Hillman City neighborhood. We are looking for educators who approach their daily work with joy and reflection, seek true partnership with families, and value the side-by-side work with children and co-teachers. Teachers work as part of an equal teaching team with the support of a mentor teacher to provide learning experiences for children in multi-age classrooms that range in age from 2 ½ to 5 years. Teachers plan curriculum, invitations to learn through play, observe and document children’s learning.
This position is a full-time or part-time (.75 FTE) Monday-Friday. The most competitive candidates will have experience working with children ages 2 ½ – 5 years, have some knowledge of the Montessori Philosophy and have teaching experience in the areas of Art, Movement or Music. We are looking for teachers with formal education/training in the field of early childhood education and two or more years of experience working with 2 ½ to 5-year-old children. Sound Child Care Solutions (SCCS) is in search of a Center Director for Magic Lantern Montessori Preschool (MLM) in Seattle, WA. An all-day preschool program for children ages 20 months to six years, MLM was founded to meet the needs of working families in the community. The school embraces a unique curriculum that incorporates the Montessori philosophy and materials. MLM strives to guide the individual child to develop fully through his/her work, according to the teachings of Dr. Montessori, the founder of the "Montessori Method". REQUIRED Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED Education & Experience
BA in early childhood/child development, elementary education, business or related equivalent degree or an Early Childhood Education (ECE) state certificate; and two years’ experience in program leadership working with children and program administration.
